THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA & THE BREATHING EXERCISES
We ran short of oxygen only
about a month back and to replenish it oxygen expresses were started to make
oxygen reach hospitals. About 37000 metric tons of medical oxygen have been
supplied from the places of production to the places of requirements by the
Indian Railways. Lives have been saved. Kudos to the planning of the GoI, and
support to the plans by the Indian Railways. There were others like the Indian
Army and the Indian Air Force also who made the logistic effective and
successful. Kudos to all of these organizations and also to the team members
therein.
This was to tide over the emergency situations that arose due to the COVID19 virus. But we all citizens have responsibilities towards ourselves and our family members to keep us strong naturally. The body system has to be maintained so that oxygen level is maintained in our body. Pranayama or breathing exercises are one of the ways to do it.
The fall in the percentages of oxygen in our body can be maintained by practicing Pranayama like kapalbhati (कपालभाती or कपालशोधन), and anulom vilom (अनुलोम-विलोम). Bellows breathing or Bhastrika (भस्त्रिका or धौंकनी), Om chanting (ओंकार or ॐ chanting or उद्गीथ).
