    As the year 2020 draws to a close, reminiscences of things; good, bad, pleasant, unpleasant, ugly; faced during the year have come alive. The first day of the year 2020, like the 1 st day of any other year in the past, was welcomed by each one of us with a lot of excitement, plans, promises, good days ahead, and so on. Many good things didn't happen. Rather, every one of us experienced something that no one had even dreamt of. The governments declared to save human lives. It brought in painful experiences like social distancing, mental turbulences, loss of jobs, ladies facing the whims of family members 24x7, (d) the house arrest (due to lockdown), (e) the unprecedented immigration became common. While going through the newspaper, I found renowned bankers, finance specialists, acting, strategy planning, sports, and manufacturing have commented on the year that is now going to be over. Mortal trainers and illusive immortality

  The CFO asks the CEO, “I train them and suppose they leave”, and the reply of the CEO - “suppose I do not train them and they stay”. This is part one and the most fundamental. But what as a CEO should you train? The catchphrase of one of the CEOs I know was – Kill the big tree and the birds nesting on it will die. He applied it to many of his competitors on his way to attaining the top position in the corporate room. One of his sub-ordinates, who was mistaken as a good follower, one day applied the training – “kill the big tree ...” and eliminated the trainer and took his position. Train the right things and right practices, should you take training seriously, lest trainees will kill the trainer. In Indian scriptures, such trainers create Bhashmasura ( भस्मासुर) demons.
