Humanize humans not all living beings of mother earth
We all know that “copy-paste” (cp) is
a bad practice and is an aggravated form of plagiarism. Its repercussions at
its minimum are the damage incurred to the originators and the kill of ethics
in personal and social lives. Thus, no one, including the perpetrator of the “cp’,
approves of it. It is unethical and the end result most often is “bad”.
When I got up from my
bed, I found that it is raining. My mood swivelled towards unpleasantness. I
was expecting a sunrise, but the Sun was covered by dark clouds.
Now it is the month of October, ad it is unpleasant to see it raining. In India, this is one of the pleasant
months. I remember that just adequate temperature and cleanness in the weather
and the atmosphere. It feels coolness and serenity during the period that
commences with October and ends with the month of November. Then winter sets
in.
The year 2020 has not
been good for humans. Plenty of rain causing deluge everywhere, fires in
natural jungles and factories, weather worsening in many parts of the world,
and COVID 19 virus and pandemic out of it and amongst all these have made
humans cry – Oh God.
The point is who
created it. Is it suo motto or we humans have copy-pasted too many aspects that
hitherto and best controlled by the natural forces and ecosystems of nature? We
copy-pasted natures’ and natural processes through:
the use of chemicals like freon to
create (artificially) convenient climates and made places of human habitations
like houses, malls, offices air-cooled and climate-controlled.
the process of life cycles of
non-humans like cows, buffalos, lambs, goats, chickens, pigs, etc through
artificial, by adopting such methods like artificial insemination. The
intention was to get enough milk, meat, sausages, eggs, and many other foods of
animal origin.
the process of diverting and stopping
the natural meanders of streams and rivers for use much more than that is
required. We made some areas submerged and some other areas deprived of water.
the process of deforestation for the
concretization of jungles for human comfort.
the biodiversity and plant trees that
can generate economic values, but not biodiversity.
the development of viruses and
bacterias through mutations to alter metabolism. We wanted to legalize
experiments towards the immortality of humans by using non-humans as subjects
of experiments.
the use of biological materials and
lives to terrorize populace and citizenry of nations with whom we are not going
mind in mind (like hand in hand). COVID19 virus like many other viruses of the
past is justifiably presumed to be the outcome of such mentalities.
Is the year 2020
really bad, as we all prefer to call it? There are millions of living beings on
the face of the earth. Some of these living beings are 100s of meters below the
surface in the ocean and on the beds of oceans. Similarly, there are many
millions of lives and organisms floating or flying in the atmosphere. Is the
year 2020 bad for these millions of living beings? There are no instances of
other creatures and living organisms suffering because of factors that are bad
for humans. Rather we have seen many instances wherein wild lives like tigers, elephants,
snakes, monkeys, etc are moving in flocks on the roads and highways when we
humans locked ourselves inside close rooms. The grasshoppers in millions and
billions of numbers flew thousands of miles uninterrupted. Obviously, all
living organisms other than humans have a great time of respite in the year
2020. Humans are scared to kill them for their pleasure.
It is gradually
becoming clear and convincing that a culture of “copy-paste” is damaging
whoever does it. We, humans, have collectively done it for thousands of years
with nil guilt. And today we are in a phase of time which will be remembered as
a dark period for human lives.
The learning from the
year 2020 is priceless:
Life is uncertain. It is more ethereal
then air bubbles on the surface of the water.
Amassing wealth or for that matter
fame is meaningless. A COVID patient, irrespective of his wealth and mundane
prosperity, cannot even return dead to his place of dwelling. He will be
discarded with all other dead bodies into the earth with anonymity.
Humans are just a tiny spec of guests
that the mother earth has given space to dwell by mingling amicably with its
other guests.
Humans should not try to humanize the
earth. At best humans may try to humanize humans. No attempts should be made to
humanize animals. If we humans feel comfortable in our artificially
climate-controlled self-styled cozy rooms and furry blankets then the birds,
for example, are extremely comfortable in their nests or under the open skies.
There is no need for humans to think of humanizing non-human living beings.
I sit finger crossed
to see that if we can take uncalled for self-styled corrective actions in the
name of protectors of the earth, then 2020 is going to last up to 2120.
At the same time we need
development through the use of science and technology. But we should to take
care in a manner that changes and developments brought in are in line with the sustainability
of nature and all living beings. It has to be holistic.
The choice and responsibilities
are ours.

Very nicely correlated and well articulated. Our actions should be to balance the ecosystem.
